John and Denise Chastain

Occupation: Denise is a stock broker’s assistant and John is a church furniture sales representative.

How long have you been dancing? We started lessons in January 2008.

Dance level when you began lessons? Beginner – no previous experience.

Who decided to start taking lessons? Since early in our marriage, we have both dreamed of taking dance lessons.

What are you working on now during your lessons? Adding salsa tricks and learning a few more rumba steps.

Favorite dance? John: Salsa or Cha-Cha, Denise: Cha-Cha.

What do your family/friends think of your dancing? They like the idea that we are staying physically active, and have come to our exhibitions. Two couples have begun taking lessons at CBC, and other friends have attended studio parties and special events.
