Brian's passion for Ballroom dancing started when he signed up for a few classes at a local dance studio. Since those early lessons, Brian has received training by the "best of the best" in Ballroom, including Shirley Ballas, Riccardo Cocchi, Yulia Zagoruychenko, Bill Sparks, and others. He began his professional career in 2002 and opened up the Cincinnati Ballroom Company in 2009 with his dance partner, Leigh Bradshaw. Brian competes with his students across the country, taking many top rankings. Brian and Leigh travel weekly to train on their own dancing in the Latin American style.
As a competitive figure skater, Leigh was introduced to Ballroom and fell in love with its beauty and style! After catching the eye of a prominent Ballroom coach, she began an training intensively in the International and American styles. Instructing and choreographing since 2005, Leigh was thrilled to open the Cincinnati Ballroom Company, with her dance partner, Brian McNamee in 2009. Leigh has received training by some of the best coaches in Dancesport and currently competes with her students in competitions across the country.
A Perfect Partnership
Brian and Leigh began their dance partnership in 2008 and immediately sensed that their strong connection, ability, and dedication to practice would create a beautiful partnership! Understanding how important excellent technique is to their dancing, Brian and Leigh travel weekly visiting their coach(s) to train on their own dancing. As teachers, they bring this knowledge to their own students, knowing that, with a clear understanding of technique, students can excel at dancing at any age!
As owners of the Cincinnati Ballroom Company, an independent dance studio, Brian and Leigh’s mission is to teach with excellence, demonstrate with passion, and bring out the best in each of their students.
